A valid cookie consent mechanism must be: freely given (no pre-ticked boxes), specific (granular per category), informed (clear description of what each cookie does), and unambiguous (positive opt-in action required). Consent must be as easy to withdraw as it is to give.

Non-compliance with cookie consent rules is one of the most frequently enforced GDPR violations in the EU. A compliant cookie policy must be published alongside your privacy policy and linked from your consent banner.
